Joan H. Schiller, MD, is Professor and Chief of the Hematology/Oncology Division at University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, where she holds the Andrea L. Simmons Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research and serves as Deputy Director of the Harold C. Simmons Cancer Center. Dr. Schiller is Chair of the Thoracic Oncology Committee of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG), a national clinical research group sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, and is Founder and President of the National Lung Cancer Partnership. Her research and clinical interests focus primarily on the treatment of lung cancer, specifically treatment modalities for small-cell and non small-cell lung cancer.
