

Martin A. Samuels, MD, is Neurologist-in-Chief and Chair of the Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where he is also Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Samuels is Past President of the Association of University Professors of Neurology and has won numerous awards, including the H. Houston Merritt Award given by the American Academy of Neurology for clinically relevant research and the first Harvard Medical School Faculty Prize for Excellence in Teaching. His research and clinical interests focus on advances in neurocardiology, neurogastroenterology, neuronephrology, and the neurologic aspects of organ transplantation.
